Powerful, capable, and outfitted with a wealth of features, the 2024 RAM 3500 is one of the most popular heavy-duty trucks. Five trim levels offer everything from great performance around the town to outstanding towing and off-roading capacity.
Tradesman
RAM offers the 3500’s base trim in two-wheel and four-wheel drive options with various cab and box configurations. All combinations are powered by a 6.4-liter V8 gas engine that delivers 410 horsepower and a maximum towing capacity of 15,110 lbs in the 4×2 Crew Cab option with a 6.4-foot bed.
The interior comes standard with a heavy-duty vinyl 40/20/40 front bench seat and, in the Crew Cab models, a rear folding seat for a maximum capacity of six passengers. Standard towing features include a 7-pin wiring harness and a Class V receiver hitch.
Big Horn
The Big Horn comes standard with the same V8 engine as the Tradesman, upgradeable to an optional high-output turbo diesel engine that boosts torque and towing capacity to a maximum of 23,000 lbs, depending on the cab and bed configuration. Towing convenience features include a standard trailer light check that helps drivers check whether the trailer signal and brake lights operate correctly.
The interior comes standard with cloth upholstery for increased comfort. Optional comfort upgrades include front bucket seats and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support.
Laramie
Like the Big Horn, the Laramie trim can be had with a high-output turbo diesel engine for a similar max towing capacity. A highlight is the Mega Cab configuration that delivers enhanced comfort. Highlights include a standard 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats. An 8.4-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5 Nav also comes standard.
The infotainment system includes voice commands as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Standard connectivity features include an integrated 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, Alexa built-in, and RAM Connected Services.
Limited
Offered exclusively in 4×4 drive type, the Limited trim comes standard with a 6.4-liter turbo diesel engine for a maximum towing capacity of 19,920 lbs. For higher torque or towing power, this trim can be had with the high-output turbo diesel engine. In the Crew Cab 6.4-foot bed configuration, an optional truck bed cargo divider makes it easy to reconfigure your cargo space.
Comfort is delivered by power lumbar-adjustable driver’s and front passenger seats, and the Uconnect 5 Nav infotainment system is available with an optional 12.0-inch touchscreen display.
Limited Longhorn
This trim comes with the high-output diesel engine as standard, and like the Limited, it is offered exclusively in 4×4 drive type. Exclusive leather-trimmed front bucket seats add a touch of luxury and pair with wood panel bezels, premium door trim panels, and an exclusive instrument cluster. Other standard highlights include front and rear 115V power outlets for added convenience.
Safety and driver assistance features are also plentiful and include a standard trailer brake controller and trailer sway damping. An optional wired tow-mode camera connects to the digital rearview mirror to help you see behind the trailer.
